Milbon Wave Defining Cream 1 was recomended to me when I was on the hunt for my own hair.
My choice of product was discontinued & I was on the hunt again. At this point Id tried countless products...

First Impressions #1:
This product is a light weight cream form with a subtle clean scent.
Description Straight from Milbon:
Hydrate and safeguard hair from frizz, humidity and heat. Naturally derived botanical oils and glycerin condition unruly hair for enhanced definition, shine, and soft, touchable hold. Air dry or diffuse hair for beautiful waves, or blow dry for a sleek, shiny finish.
Ware Test #2:
I have a mix of 2C & 3A curls; that tend to go FRIZZ city if not treated properly.
(MOST FRISS IS UNTAMED UNTREATED CURLS)
So here is my routine; I shampoo, condition, towel dry, add a quarter amount to palm & spread around evenly... & the most important step second only to the product is manipulating the curls by separating into sections & finger curling into the natural direction of the curl. After I set each curl I scrunch & let it air dry.
For me diffusing tends to disturb the curls I finger curled so I prefer to air dry this reduces the most amount of frizz & heat damage. Once my hair is 80% dry I fluff up the roots gently.
I was so ecstatic at the end of the day; the retention each curl stayed in shape soft to the touch as if I had nothing on my hair, it had a natural healthy shean, & to my ultimate surprise the next day after sleeping it still looked amazing in the morning!
Directions on Bottle:
Apply a pea-sized amount to towel-dried hair from roots to ends, then blow dry, diffuse, or air dry. Add more as needed.
Include personal anecdotes of how the product helped you. When, where and how did you use the product? The more personal you are, the more relatable and trustworthy you'll be. If you had others test the product, share this with your reader.
 Pros & Cons #3:
Let me start with the Pros
light weight, won't weigh your hair down
buildable; depending on texture you may need more or less than the recommended to avoid a greasy look or an unsatisfactory hold.
soft non waxy, stiff, or flaky
natural shean that gives your hair the look of healthy shiny hair
all day dependable memory hold, that holds well into the next day.
You can also use this as a blow dry cream as it is a heat protectant for smooth frizz free bouncy blowout look.
works an all curl patterns
The Cons
a lot of product amount required for curl patterns 3C - 4C
The Final Score #4:
After 12 years in the industry I have struggled to have a product to offer the quality Milbon has. Finally have found something that works for my hair & that I could stand behind to recommend to my clients.
I tried this on my daughter with 4B texture & while it still delivered great shine, softness, & moisture; the amount of product used is key. I had to use about 3 dalops of the product to weigh down and tame her curls. The results were beautiful however the rate of going through one bottle of product is rapid to say the least.
As we all know no one curl is the same nor do we have a size one fits all product; my review was from the POV of my type of curl for those with similar types.
I definitely recommend & will soon add a cart option to order online directly with me, although I am not sponsored nor affiliated Milbon is only sold in professional salons. If you are in the area feel free to stop by & pick one up in person.
I have seen Milbon sold on Amazon however it is not directly by Milbon so I could not ethically recommend to purchase as there is always a probability of tampering.
